NEW BUS STOPS
Channelview ISD Transportation Department has relocated bus stops for students in the 2004-2005 school year.
Parents and the Channelview community were invited to attend any of the four “Town Hall” meetings to review new stops and for the Transportation Department to listen to parent and community concerns.
The Channelview ISD Transportation Department explored the option of newly designated stops to ensure timeliness in arriving at each school and to become more efficient in our operation of the department.
Steps taking in exploring this option were:
1. Research Sex Offenders
2. Communicating with drivers on current bus stops
3. Physically review current bus stops
4. Meet with School Board Members
5. Meet with Principals
6. Schedule Town Hall meetings
7. Issue letter to parents announcing bus stop changes and Town Meetings
8. Advertised in the Community Newspaper
9. Post maps at their campus
Parents and community will be able to view the new bus stops at their designated campus. Maps will be posted at each campus next to their school roll in August. Bus stops may also be viewed online. Please click here to see bus stops.
If you should have any questions concerning your bus stop, please contact your Transportation Department at (281) 452-8020.
We appreciate all of the community working together to make 2004-2005 a safe and successful school year.
Thank you,
Channelview ISD Transportation Department
