The Director of Human Resources is responsible for directing and managing district human resource activities to ensure legally sound and effective practices. This includes the development and implementation of human resource programs such as wage and salary administration, leave administration, employee training, recruitment and staffing, and employee communications. This includes:
- The district application and screening process for all employees.
- Orientation programs for new employees.
- The district employee evaluation program.
- Employment contracts.
- State certificates
- Job descriptions and classification of positions.
- Procedures to ensure that employees are informed of personnel policies, procedures, and programs that affect them.
- Employee recognition programs.
- The update and distribution of employee handbooks.
- Personnel records management and oversight of required state records management program.
