The Assistant Superintendent of Administration is the leader for the Administrative Services Division of Channelview ISD.
Departments of the Administrative Services Division
Responsible for directing and managing the district’s athletic programs and facilities. This includes working to provide each student with the opportunity to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League, NCAA, National Federation of State High School Association, and local requirements.
The Director of Fine Arts is responsible for the supervision of all activities, performances and exhibitions in the division of Fine Arts. This includes compliance with all District, Region, Area and State UIL performance and eligibility requirements. The Director of Fine Arts also oversees the daily operations of the district's Print Shop.
Includes the Principals and Assistant Principals at the schools. These employees are responsible for the daily operation of their campus, performance of their students, and supervision or their teachers and staff.
Responsible for directing and managing district human resource activities to ensure legally sound and effective practices. This includes the development and implementation of human resource programs such as wage and salary administration, leave administration, employee training, recruitment and staffing, and employee communications.
Works closely with the Harris County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office, the Center for Safe and Secure Schools, and the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management in order to provide the safest environment for our students and staff.
Facilitates the effective use of computers and other technology district wide. Technology is also responsible for staff development and training of principals and other district personnel in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of technology hardware and software. Technology also assists with the integration of technology in the existing curriculum.
