Channelette 50th Anniversary Activities
Come help us celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Channelview High School and the Channelview Channelettes!

Homecoming Activities
Homecoming Parade - October 4, 2007
We want to represent the Channelette Alumni in the Homecoming Parade on Thursday, October 4, 2007 by having a float. We will decorate the float after our homecoming performance practice on Saturday, September 29, 2007. So dig out your Channelette Boots and we will provide the Channelette Hats and you will wear your Anniversary T-shirt to celebrate with us.

Homecoming Pre-game Presentation - October 5, 2007
Each class will be presented on the field during pre-game festivities with a banner of their graduation year. Channelettes will be represented by wearing a pre-ordered 50th Anniversary T-shirt within their class.

Homecoming Performance - October 5, 2007
Those choosing to will perform a short dance number with the Channelettes immediately following the introductions. Practices for this performance will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 9:00am - 5:00pm in the Channelette Room.

Homecoming Post-game Mixer - October 5, 2007
Following the Homecoming Game, the Channelette Alumni and Channelview Alumni will meet at Holiday Inn on I-10 East.

 

Channelette Spring Show Activities
Channelette Spring Show Performance- April 24-26 2008
There will be two separate performances this year. One will be the annual alumni dance performed every night of the show with the other dance being a celebration of the decades, the Decade Dance, only being performed on Saturday, April 26, 2008. All Channelette Alumni Members are invited to perform. If you are not a member, you may join for a $25 a year membership fee.

Annual Alumni Dance practices will be announced at a later date. We will practice in March & April. You must be able to attend three out of the four practices with the last practice being mandatory!

Decade Dance practice will be Saturday, April 26, 2008 in the Channelette Room from 8:00-1:00. Costume will be Anniversary T-shirt and black pants with black shoes and black socks.

Channelette Spring Show Alumni Reception - April 26, 2008
Finger foods, cake, and punch will be served for a social gathering before the show. The reception will have yearbooks, scrapbooks, and other memorabilia for you to enjoy! Bring your own personal memories to share with the young, the old, and the in-between!

Channelette Spring Show - 50 Years of Channelettes and Still Strutting! - April 24-26, 2008
Even if you are not performing, come enjoy the memories of your Channelette Years as we explore the past, the present, and the future of Channelettes! The show starts at 7:00 at the CHS Auditorium and admission is $5.00.

 

Cruise
Carnival Cruise to Cozumel - July 31-August 4, 2008
We will be sailing on the Carnival Cruise Liner, the Ecstasy, for 4 fun-filled days at sea and for a full 8 hrs. in Cozumel. The cost will be approximately $550 per person. Anyone is welcome to join us on this adventure...Channelette Alumni, Channelview High School Alumni, Channelview Friends, Family, Children...anyone who has anything to do with Channelview!!!! Please spread the word and get your group together!!!!
